Withdrawing a Patent Application from Publication

Updated: May 23

You can withdraw your patent from publication., provided that you do so in sufficient time. You just have to follow the rules of the Intellectual Property Office. You may wish to do this because you have found other intellectual property which is in conflict with yours. You may, alternatively, have decided, perhaps after learning of this, that it is worth investigating your invention further before filing an improved patent application. Another reasons is that you do not want to risk expenditure until you have researched your invention further.
